Cheltenham Literature Festival 2017: I’ll be there!

Some very exciting news to share – I will be appearing at the prestigious Cheltenham Literature Festival in October.

I grew up in Cheltenham, and have been going to the festival for many years, so this is a really big deal for me. I even worked as one of the volunteers when I was 18, handing round the roving mics during events, getting authors glasses of wine in the green room and giving lost visitors directions. That same autumn I worked on the festival’s daily review paper, Literally Speaking, and that was what gave me a taste for journalism and started me upon my career in that field. So… the festival has been a big part of my life.

IMG_20170807_202458I will be there on Tuesday, October 10, at an event from 2.30-4pm called the Vintage Proof Party. Vintage is the parent publisher of Harvill Secker, which is publishing my debut novel If I Die Before I Wake. For £15 you get to see Caroline Sanderson speaking to me about my book, along with Imogen Hermes Gowar (author of The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock) and Mary Lynn Bracht (author of White Crysanthemum). All three of our books are out in 2018, and you will get a goodie bag with limited edition proofs inside.

I can’t wait for this event and I hope some of you can come along! No heckling, please…

More info here.

Tickets go on sale from Wednesday, 30th August to Thursday 5th October Tuesday-Friday 10:00-17:00. Visit the festival box office here.

  1. Very excited to read this! How wonderful to have a chance to hear from the author as her new book is launched. Emily Koch has come full circle from Festival attender to Festival presenter!
