Praise for If I Die Before I Wake:

“This is a debut to be reckoned with.” (Barry Forshaw, The Guardian)

“Gripping.” (The i newspaper)

“In the darkness of the stilled body, this is a novel which glows with life.” (Jeff Noon, The Spectator)

“The author conveys a real sense of the true horror of being locked inside a body that won’t move with a brain that still works. And she persuades us to stay with the story to its strangely exhilarating conclusion.” (Christina Appleyard, Daily Mail)

“A gripping debut… I look forward to the next one.” (William Leith, The Evening Standard)

“The novel works well as a thriller but its the depiction of a man coping with being locked inside his own body that makes the book so memorable.” (Jake Kerridge, The Sunday Express)

  1. Only just discovered the book (If I die before I wake) and 2 chapters in, I love it…wish I had known about this before but then again, I didnt really take much notice of Stroke’s before my own !! 5 years post stroke, not working yet, well not paid work, but founded a charity to help others impacted by Stroke.
