Drafting a New Story: My Fourth Novel in Progress

It’s been a while since I posted here, so time for a quick update! I’ve been quiet, but definitely not idle - I’m deep into my next book.

After some health issues around the release of What July Knew in 2023, I’ve been taking things slowly and letting the story take its time.

I wrapped up a very scrappy first draft this summer (2025). Think of it like a film script - mostly dialogue, just a few stage directions. Some chapters naturally had more detail, but the second draft is where I’m filling in all the gaps: setting, character development, story flow, and fixing the bits that didn’t quite work the first time.

It’s set in the US and isn’t contemporary, so I’ve been doing tons of research - which I’ve absolutely loved. I can’t wait to share more soon!
