Video: Emily Koch’s acceptance speech for the Prix du Bureau des lecteurs Folio policier RTL 2021

At the end of last year I announced that Il était une fois mon meurtre, the French translation of my debut novel If I Die Before I Wake, had won a crime fiction prize.

I recently received copies of the reprinted version of the book, with a special prizewinner banner. Doesn’t it look gorgeous?!

The award - the Prix du Bureau des Lecteurs - is brand new, and was held in association with the French radio station RTL. Eight novels were in the running to be named the best crime novel from the Folio Policier imprint.
